Is it possible to get notified when certain markets are loaded by Betfair and a certain amount of volume is available? Eg WNBA gets loaded quite late compared to other sports and it is frustrating to contually check.

Yes, it is possible to code using the Betfair Streaming API. When a new market is added to the Betfair exchange, the streaming API subscription will automatically receive that market or markets. The only limitation is a 200-market limit per single subscription from Betfair. You can find relevant code examples on my GitHub.
