The Lay/Back Bot
The Lay/Back bot is the simplest trading bot script the bfexplorer offers. The parameters you can use are following:
- Stake
- MinOddsDifference
- RepeatTradingCycle
- PlaceBetOnRunner
The bot opens your position by placing the lay bet with the stake you define by the parameter Stake, after the lay bet is placed the bot waits for the selection odds lengthen by preset number of ticks defined by the parameter MinOddsDifference. If the odds lengthen the bot places the back bet closing your position with equal profit.
If you want to repeat the trading cycle set the parameter RepeatTradingCycle to true, the bot then reopens its position on the best offered lay odds.
As you can see the bot really offers just the base parameters for trading, but you can create the entry criteria for opening your position by market and selection criteria.
Case study
I want to lay the selection with the stake of 100 Euro when the back book value is under 101.5% and total traded volume is more than 150000 Euro, after the back bet is matched I want to close position (trade out) after odds drops for 3 ticks.
You need to set following parameters:
