Laying Selected Horses at In-Running

The whole bot is the very confusing. I looked at the instructions online but I dont get it. Please explain in detail how could I set up a system which would lay a at particular horse in running than odds are between 10 and 15.
Bfexplorer PRO is betfair trading software offering all what trader needs like ladder interface and charting, tools for dutching and closing position (green up), trigger betting or trading and also offers tools for automated betting or trading.
In your case you want to place lay bets on particular horses, so here are steps you have to do:
- Create bot criteria settings for placing your lay bets.
- Using the tool: Execute my strategy on selections you have to select all horses you want to place lay bets on.
- Apply your betting strategy on your selections
- Clicking the Start toolbar button
Create bot criteria settings for placing your lay bets.
To create bot criteria setting click on the menu item View/Bot Executor. In the Bot executor view click on toolbar button: Add new bot criteria. You want to place lay bet so you have to use: Place bet bot type.
Set following parameters:
- AllowPlacingBetInPlay: True
- BetType: Lay
- MaxOdds: 15
- MinOdds: 10
- Stake: 4 (your stake)
Why you have to set those parameters? Simply because you have to instruct the program what have to be done.
So you want to place your bets in running (the parameter: AllowPlacingBetInPlay). The bet you want to place is lay bet (the parameter: BetType). You want to place the lay bet only when horse traded in odds range from 10 to 15 (the parameters: MaxOdds and MinOdds). And of course you want to place your lay bet with your stake (the parameter: Stake)
All you need to do now is name your bot criteria settings, for instance: Lay In-Running 4 Euro @ (10 - 15) and click on the OK button. I think you understand why naming the bot settings correctly is a good idea. Well because you can create really a lot of different bot criteria settings, and when using right naming convention you can find such bot criteria settings you would like to use with ease.
Now it is a good idea to test if the bot criteria setting you have just created really works, but first switch bfexplorer into the practice mode clicking on the menu item: Application/Practice mode, so you will not risk your money when testing.
First select a horse that will not fulfill criteria for bet placing. I selected horse: Jack Luey, in the Bot Executor I select the bot criteria I want to test/execute: Lay In-Running 4 Euro @ (10 - 15) and clicking on the Start the Bot toolbar button the bot was executed and no lay bet was placed what is correct as the odds range is not in the range. Do not forget to stop running bot by clicking on the toolbar button: Stop Bot in the main toolbar.
Now I can run the test on another horse: Crushing, in this case the bot placed the lay bet as offered lay odds were in the preset odds range. You can see in the Output view the bot reported its status and in the My Bets view you can see the matched lay bet.
Execute my strategy on selections
So bot works now, and we can proceed with selecting horses we want to place lay bets on. Click on menu item: Tools, Execute my strategy on selections and there on the toolbar button: Add selection (the first button on the toolbar).
The Betfair Browser dialog appears and here you can select your horses adding them into your list clicking on the toolbar button: Add the selection. When you will select your horses, click on the OK button, and all your selections will be added into the list.
You can see them in the list but in the column: My Strategy there is no strategy which could be executed on your selections. You have to add it by clicking on the toolbar button: Apply my strategy. Select your strategy and click on the OK button. As you can see you can apply different strategy to each selection, if you want to do so.
Now you are finally ready to click on the Start button, but before doing so, set the parameter: Start monitoring to 0, so your placing bot will be executed on your selection at the official race start.
