How to close position, trade it out, green up with equal profit

Hi I’ve sussed out the state button but what do I click on to hedge the bet and green out? Does it relate to the red and green boxes which appear to the right of the ladder or is there another way of doing it? Thanks

The bfexplorer offers many ways how to close position, trade it out, green up whatever word you use it. Have a look at the screenshot.

You can see that I placed back bet on Samurai Warrior and odds moved down, so my current position is in profit.

Your question was how to green out. In the market grid view you can see green Profit button, it shows you the current profit you would get to trade out your bet by placing the lay at current best offered lay odds 2.74.

If you decided to trade it out right now all you need to do is just to click on the Profit button, the bfexplorer would calculate the hedge bet and place it. You can do the same in the Trade the Market window clicking on the current best lay offer. You would see your potential profit moving the mouse above the lay odds, so for instance you can that if you would place lay bet at 2.62 odds (The lay odds is highlighted on the picture) your potential profit would be 13.74.

Trade out by Bet Wizard - Close Position for Selection

Anytime you place a bet the bfexplorer adds the selection on which you placed the bet into the Watched Selections window. If you trade on more markets then you can see in this window all your opened position and the current state, if you are in profit or loss.

You can trade out your position even not switching into the market just by clicking on the toolbar button Close Position. It is third toolbar button on each selection chart and you maybe noticed that the same toolbar button can be found in the main toolbar or in Trade the Market window where you can do the same clicking on this toolbar button icon. This toolbar button has a popup menu where you can change the default command for this icon.

You can see on the picture that the Bet Wizard – Close Position for Selections offers possibility to level your profit just by moving the slider up or down.

Trade out by Bet Wizard - Close Position

If you placed bets on more selection, you can use the Bet Wizard - Close Position to close your position, trade out on the market, on more selections. The bet wizard will set the stakes automatically for selections on which you have got your position opened, or you can change the odds and/stake to set your position as you want to.

Trade out by Bot Wizard - Close Position

To trade out your position you can use the bot: Close Position. If you are using the "ladder" Trade the Market window and you previously placed some bets then you can ask the bfexplorer to manage your position automatically. For instance you have to go out of your computer for a moment or trading on more markets.

Change the operation mode for the Trade the Market window to: Automated Trading or you can do the same in the main toolbar and on the selection click on the toolbar button: Start Strategy, the Bot Wizard dialog appears where you can set your desired profit in ticks (Odds difference) or as ROI. You can set if the bet closing bet should be placed immediately after the opening one is matched, and you can set your stop loss.

If you place your bets in the ladder using this strategy then placing the back bet will fire execution of the closing bot with your desired parameters, the bfexplorer will check automatically what your position is and set the closing bet. If you placed your bet in the Manual Trading bot then just switch to the Automated Trading mode and click on the Start Strategy toolbar button.

Trade out by Bot Wizard - Close Position by Dutching

If you trade on markets with two selections and you already opened your position on one of them, then you can use dutching to close your position.

Why should you have to use dutching instead of hedge position by back/lay bet? Well because you can get better profit, on the opening selecting there is not enough offered money. Have a look at on the screenshot.

I opened my position on Under 2.5 Goals, as the odds moved down I am able to close my position “green up” in 5.88 laying at 2.04 what is the best offered lay price. If I would try to close my position on better odds offer to back 2.02 my profit would be 6.43, you can see in the Trade the Market window.

Using the Bet Wizard Close Position by Dutching I am able to close my position in dutch bet backing Over at 1.97, and my profit would be 6.13 so bigger than immediately close my position laying Under.

    Bot Executor

There are three other possibilities how to close your position by using the Bot Executor to prepare a set of bot criteria settings to automatically close your position.

I wonder if anyone knows what I am talking about.

    Closing Position when Trading

Hi Stefan,You will know from our previous discussions that I have spent an awful number of years betting on the horses...mostly backing to win. I am now beginning to change my stance on the betting front mainly due to the experience using bots from within Bfexplorer PRO. I have tended to keep away from trading partly due to the much larger stakes required to accrue an overall profit and also to my lack of knowledge and experience with trading.I am now starting to feel more comfortable with trading from within bots. I am sure that the above articles will  be of  great benefit to me and help me even further in my learning process.

Right click stop at profit or loss feature for ladder or bot executor bot: ClosePositionAtOdds

From the version 2.8.3 Bfexplorer PRO offers possibility to close position by setting the odds to close position at profit and/or at loss simply by right clicking on the lay or back column representing your closing bet.

You can see on the picture above, my opening bet was back bet 100 Euro at 5.0, at the moment I could close my position at equal profit 35,12 Euro. I set my closing positions to profit at 3,4 odds (the green) at potential profit of 47,06 Euro and I set my closing position to loss at 5,4 (the red).

If you want to switch off any stop level again click on the odds representing your closing position, or you can simply stop running the bot: ClosePositionAtOdds.

Bfexplorer PRO plug-in: Close All Positions

    Stefan:

Could the plugin "Close all Position" access the odds of each bet and to modify them, because events in play can never close the positions as odds move.

    Thank you
