Hello,
I am wondering how the automatic trading bots work? How do they decide when to place the first bet? Does bot works with BACK/LAY price or monitor actual position of the selection or check time remaining to market start? Is there some list of bot strategies?

Bfexplorer PRO offers 14 types of bots which are directly integrated with Bfexplorer PRO and possibility to execute custom bot scripts, so you are really able to run any betting or trading strategy. For software developers Bfexplorer PRO offers open platform for betfair bot development. Anyone who is familiar with C# .NET or Visual Basic .NET programming language is able to create bot script or build more sophisticated solution as a Bfexplorer PRO plug-in.
If you are just common user without any experience with betfair bot programming you can use any of built-in bots (14 bots) and create different bot strategies just by setting bot parameters using Bot Executor.
If you have a look at on bots, you can use with the Bot Executor you will find there bots for placing bets, bots for dutching, trading bots or bots for closing your position. Any of these bots use set of parameters and the Bot Executors adds other parameters or criteria to any bot as well. In such cases a bot is executed only when preset criteria are met.
Some bots have no control panel within the Bot Setup page, but they are still available for use with the Bot Executor through My Bot parameters. One of such bots is for instance: ClosePositionAtOdds bot you can setup on the ladder by right clicking on the odds you want to close your position, other bots offer Bot Wizard so you can setup your bot different ways.
